On Sunday 8th March Can’t Dance Can and Oulder Hill Community School are hosting Rochdale Remembers… What We Remember, an exclusive community dance showcase at Gracie Fields Theatre, Rochdale. This year the showcase explores and commemorates the history of World War One by creating movement from memories, the significance of the poppy and the commemoration from both formal ceremony and private remembering’s.

This is an event with great energy and inspiration and will include performances from over 200 participants, aged 5 to 81 from all over the borough. ‘Rochdale Remembers… What We Remember’ creates exciting pieces of stage performance by combining an energetic fusion of contemporary and modern dance as well as more traditional styles with influences from other art forms such as visual arts, theatre, song and the spoken word.

Now in its ninth year, the annual showcase has provided hundreds of Rochdale residents an opportunity to perform, take part in and watch a unique celebration of local dance talent.
